Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) has become a global threat to public health systems around the world in recent decades. In 2017, Italy was placed among worst-performing nations Europe by European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, due worryingly high levels of AMR Italian hospitals regions. The aim this systematic review investigate state art research on over last five years. PubMed database searched identify studies presenting original data. Forty-three 9721 records identified were included. Overall, rates ranged from 3% (in group sheep farmers) 78% hospital setting). methods used microorganisms, test their susceptibility criteria adopted breakpoint deficient 7, 7 11 studies, respectively. main findings our that most (79.1%) considered hospitalised patients only, 4 (9.3%) analysed non-hospitalised populations only. addition, only multicentric no scientific literature subject produced order have solid basis topic interventions professionals other stakeholders, analysing phenomenon should be conducted methodologically standardised manner, include all areas country also focus out-of-hospital community-based care work settings.
